IMPORTANT: Each
student who wants to benefit from this service must carefully
read all the conditions that apply before sending his/her
payment (see Service
Description).
1)
What Is the Deadline to Reserve my Room?
THE RESERVATION DEADLINE
Winter 2010 term:
Sunday,
November 21st 2009.
No application will be considered after this
date.
2)
How Do I Reserve my Room?
To reserve a room, you must complete a reservation
form accompanied by a deposit of 700 $CAN. This 700 $CAN deposit
permits us to reserve a room for you.
THE DEPOSIT IS DIVIDED AS THE FOLLOWING:

200 $ CAN deposit will be kept as a guarantee and given back to the student at the end of the term if the room or apartment is returned in good condition. If the student decide to cancel the room after June 30th, 2009 the 200 $ will be kept.

500$ CAN that will be kept for the last month of your rent and will be given to your landlord. If you are cancelling the contract that 500 $ CAN might be kept after evaluation and might be given to the landlord.
IMPORTANT: No reimbursement
will be granted in case of withdrawal from the exchange program
or renunciation of the room reserved after
November 21st 2009.

How Do I Pay for the Reservation Deposit?
The payment must be paid with an International
Money Order or by money transfer (Western Union) in Canadian
currency and made out to the name of
Suzanne
Boisvert (please do not add GIA-Gestion inc.) and dated the day it is mailed out.
Ask Western Union to fix the exchange rate the day it is mailed
out.
No other method of payment will be accepted (no
payments by credit card).

What Are the Steps I Must Follow to Reserve my Room?
Step 1 : Obtain an International Money
Order or transfer funds (money) of 700 $CAN (Canadian currency
only), payable to the name of
Suzanne
Boisvert (do not add GIA-Gestion inc) and make a photocopy of it. If you
proceed by transferring funds via Western Union, please send
us an e-mail that contains the transfer date (of the deposit),
the exact name of sender (as it appears on the submission
form) and the MTCN (10 numbers).
Step 2 :
a) Complete the Housing Reservation Form
b) Press on the " Send your Request " button.
c) Print the confirmation page to keep a record
of the information you provided.
Step 3 :
If you used the services of Western Union,
please provide us, by email (giagestion@bell.net), the
following information:
If you used international money order,
please provide us a copy by email (giagestion@bell.net) or
by fax (00-1-514 858-1661) indicating clearly your name.
After that, send it to us by postal mail, without delay, to
the following address:

Step 4 : Upon receiving your
money order (original copy) or your money transfer by Western
Union (to minimize travel time, please note that we will recover
the money transfers on November 10th and November 23rd 2009),
we will send you a reservation confirmation by e-mail.
This confirmation certifies
that you will have a room upon your arrival.
IMPORTANT: To avoid
making the process any heavier form an adminstrative point
of view, please note that no further notice or correspondence
or information relative to your room will be sent to you.
